I SURVIVED JANUARY!!

Ok, so that doesn't sound so difficult. Obviously, you did too. However, I want to just put it on record that January 2008 SUCKED ASS. Let me explain. It started with my getting the worst cold of my life for the first 2 weeks. This was quickly followed up with a nasty sinus infection and flu that involved a constant headache, lack of appetite or energy, fever, chills, and horrible night sweats for 10 solid days. Financially, I've done better than January 2008, as in, I've had no work for months and January continued that worrying trend flawlessly. The cherry on top was this: My home for the last 16 years was put on the market after I was unable to procure $575,000 for it's purchase off the market. The house went up for sale for $615,000 on Tuesday the 22nd, and was sold to the first person who viewed it on Thursday the 24th. The amount was... I can't tell you until the deal closes, which is on February 20th. I have no idea what the future holds, but it's likely to involve a large increase in my rent and/or my moving somewhere else. Either way, I need some work. To add to my worries, I am leaving for Europe on March 15th. Free air ticket to London & staying with friends nearly the entire time, so hopefully it's not going to cost an arm and a leg. I'm quite attached to my arm and leg. So I'm in a funk. Here's something to help:

Do a thing a day for the entire month and post the results online. It should take no more than an hour, hopefully around 20 mins per day. This is my thing I did today. I bitched about January. Hooray for February! Please suck less than January!

yep, 1/08 could have gone a lot better for me too. It started off looking pretty shittyy. But it got rolling along for a while and I almost thought it might surprise me. But the surprise was the frigging sucker-punch that blind-sided me at the end.

Let's just both hope it can only get better from here :)
