In 2005-2006, I started a 9 month around-the-world adventure that started in Southeast Asia: Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, and Laos. I spent about a month in each of these countries. Except for one particularly horrid bus ride from Hanoi to Vientienne, I loved every minute of it.
Southeast Asia feels like home to me in ways I can’t quite explain. I can’t wait to return.
